Kim Rupkey

Kim came to yoga as a way to reconnect with her dance background as well as a form of exercise to strengthen her body.  She quickly found that yoga is so much more than just the poses. Tapping into the concentration of breath and mental focus that is encouraged in the practice, she began to feel a sense of peace. She was hooked immediately. Kim’s passion and goal is to guide each person through their own personal yoga journey.

Every body is different and your body knows what it needs. Respect your body and be aware and present to your needs. Accepting and loving ourselves is a gift that only you can give yourself. Kim would like to be that guide on your journey.

Kim completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training through Johns Creek Yoga, here in Georgia, under the guidance of Sheila McVay. She is registered through the National Yoga Alliance and continues her education with workshops and training including a recent workshop of the Subtle Anatomy with Grace Jull.

Kim is originally from Rhode Island where she grew up dancing competitively under the direction of Carolyn Dutra, a former New York City Rockette. She toured Great Britain as a dance company member and continued her education as a dance major at the University Of Iowa. She then moved to Los Angeles, California to train under some of the dance masters there.

Kim went on to open her own successful dance studio in Waterloo, Iowa where her students received many accolades and awards competing in cities such as Minneapolis and Kansas City as well as performing in the half time show of the FedEx Orange Bowl in Miami, Fl.

Kim has 2 boys who are the loves of her life.

Kim is pleased to be working with Marco Frascione at Suwanee Therapeutic Massage to fully complete the wellness journey.
